Nestled in the green vegetation in a small town "Anse Aux Poules " Kanasuk is in the administration district named Baie Lazare, Which is located south of the main island , Mahe.
The histroy of the district is intresting ; it is named after the french explorer lazare picault, and it is also the site where some seychelles locals once discovered some buried pirate treasure.
The vegetation consists of various type of trees and plants such as cocount trees, banana tress and the fertile land peviously grew pineapple and sugarcane; which how it got its name "kanasuk" translation "sugarcane"
